Hit or Miss Concealers

Lately the makeup product I’ve been buying most are concealers. I go through stages of buying different types of the same makeup. So if I’m running low on concealer, I won’t just buy one, I’ll buy a few to try. Hence the topic of this post! The concealers featured were all purchased in the last couple of weeks and are all drugstore brands, from either Boots or Superdrug. (With the exception of the LA Girl concealer from Amazon).

I’m going to start with my fave first and finish up with my least fave!

DSCF5428.jpg
NYX HD Photogenic Concealer
This concealer has a lovely texture, it’s very creamy and is so easy to blend! I hate concealers and foundations that feel heavy on the skin but this one’s really light weight and has very good coverage for it’s light weight texture. I find it works well around my under eyes when my dark circles aren’t too bad, which is something I can’t say about a lot of concealers. NYX do stock a specific dark circles concealer, however it comes in a pot and I tend not to buy concealers in that form. I just find wands and sticks so much quicker to use! This concealer comes in a wide range of shades, as well as colour correcting tones which I’d like to try at some point.

I bought this concealer from Boots, for £5.50 – a great price for the product! They’re also available on the NYX UK website which has finally launched now, yay! But they’re £6.00 on there, not too sure why..

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
This concealer seems to be the blogger favourite and I can see why! It’s said to last for up to 16 hours. It is long lasting, however I think 16 hours is a little too adventurous. It has good coverage and a creamy texture, similar to the NYX, which makes it nice and easy to blend. It was a really close call between the two! Again, this concealer also comes in a wide range of shades (in my Superdrug anyway), which I think is really important in finding the perfect match for your skin tone.

It was £4.19 from Superdrug but can also be purchased from Boots and Wilkos. (Superdrug and Boots currently have it for a slightly cheaper price of £3.99).

DSCF5453.jpg
LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer
I’ve seen a few comments from other bloggers saying they love the product but not the brush applicator. I actually do like the applicator, however it did take some time to get used to. I can imagine that towards the end of tube, some of the product can be wasted in the brush applicator. One review also said that their brush hardened as they hadn’t used the product in a while. I have this in the yellow colour correcting shade and it works so well on concealing the veins around my eyes! It isn’t as creamy in texture as the others but still blends quite well.

I ordered the LA Girl concealer from Amazon for £2.89. You can also buy them from Beauty Bay, however they’re slightly cheaper from Amazon and I used Amazon Prime for delivery too!

Makeup Revolution The Matte Effect Cover & Conceal Concealer
I don’t tend to purchase stick concealers anymore as I find them harder to blend, especially on dry areas of skin, which I’m prone to. However, I do like this stick concealer! I think it’s really similar to Rimmel’s Hide the Blemish concealer stick, which I used to use all the time a few years ago. It provides pretty good coverage, it isn’t as bendable as the liquid concealers – I think that’s kind of expected. But for the price, it’s not a bad product at all!

This concealer is only £1.00 from Superdrug – that’s not a typo!! For only £1.00 this product is an absolute bargain, it’s great if you’re running low on money but need a decent concealer.

Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix Liquid Concealer
If you’ve read my posts before, you’ll be surprised to see this concealer at the bottom of my list. I was actually really disappointed by this product and wouldn’t recommend it. The main problem is that the coverage just wasn’t there, it was way too sheer! The texture of the product was strange, it wasn’t creamy like the others and was more like a thin liquid.
Personally, it really wasn’t for me but if you’d like to try it out for yourself it was only £2.00 from Superdrug.

My Concealer Wishlist
Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Concealer  – UD describe this as a weightless complete coverage concealer. I’ve heard so many good things about it and other UD products I’ve used have been great, so this is the next concealer for me!

Have you used any of the concealers in this post? Let me know if there are any other really good concealers that you recommend!!

Hope you enjoyed.. X

The Liebster Award

Hello lovelies! I’ve been nominated for the Liebster Award, yay!

I’ve been nominated a few times for the blogger recognition award and now I’ve had a nomination for the Liebster Award! Incase some of you have never heard of this award before, Liebster is German, meaning loved/sweet. It’s such a nice award!! I was nominated by Chelsea Anne at ChelseaAnneBeauty. (<- Head over to her blog). Her blog is so pretty – it gives me serious blog inspo! Her photos are fab and her posts are fab. She gives honest reviews which I think is really important.

The Liebster Award Rules
Like other awards, there are certain rules you must follow if nominated. Here they are:

1. Thank the blogger who nominated you and link their blog in your post. Share a few thoughts about their blog and help to promote them. Support other bloggers!!

2. Display the award on your blog – you deserve to show it off! You can either display in the post or as a widget, it’s up to you.

3. Who’s your favourite blogger? Write a short paragraph about your favourite blog and leave a link for others to check them out.

4. Tell your readers 10 random facts about you – they can be anything you want!

5. Nominate 5-11 other bloggers that you feel deserve this award, mainly those smaller bloggers who don’t get the support and recognition they deserve!

6. Make sure to link these rules in your Liebster Award post and abide by them!

7. Finally – inform your nominee’s that you’ve selected them for the award and provide a link back to your original post. Also, post links in the comments below to your Liebster Award posts, especially my nominees, so that we can all take a look at them!

Okay, let’s get to it! liebsterMy Favourite Blogger
This was such a hard decision for me as there are too many bloggers that I like. There are so many bloggers out there who work hard and post great content.
One of my fave’s is Laura Byrnes at Laura’s Little Locket. I can’t tell you how long I’ve followed her blog and instagram for. She’s a fashion blogger who posts great content and always looks fab! She also seems like such a lovely person!! You can imagine how pleased I was when she chose me as a winner for her last competition. (Read more about that here: London Fashion Week Festival 2017).

My 10 Random Facts
I really like this section of the award, as it allows me to share things with you that I wouldn’t usually share!

1. I currently live in Portsmouth for University, but I come from a small town back in the West Midlands, near Birmingham.
2. I love olives! I ‘accidentally’ went through a whole jar in a few hours yesterday..
3. I share the same birthday as my mum, I was born on her birthday 22 years ago – 20th June.
4. I’m an only child and I’ve always said I need to marry a man who has siblings so that I can be an auntie one day.
5. I was a pescetarian for 2 years, then a vegetarian for 3 years, and now I’m a pescetarian again.
6. I still don’t have a driving license. University got in the way of learning/taking my test. I passed my theory test last year and I got a car last month, so hopefully I’ll be able to drive soon!
7. During my secondary school work placement, I ended up at dinner with Robbie William’s mum.
8. My memory isn’t the best, so I keep a daily dairy and fill it with things that have happened that day.
9. I have a faint birth mark that runs from my shoulder to my wrist on my left arm.
10. When I was younger, my mobile phone had to be pink.

My Questions from Chelsea Anne
1. What made you start blogging?
I’ve wanted to start a blog for the last couple of years but I was always too nervous to start one. Then a few months ago, I realised I had nothing to lose and that I would of rather tried, than regretted not trying. And here I am now!

2. What’s your favourite part of blogging?
I enjoy interacting with other bloggers. I’ve had such positive feedback about my posts and it’s lovely to see people supporting each other, rather than putting each other down.

3. What’s your favourite food?
Now this really is a hard one! It’s a close call between cheese(every type but blue) and vegetable samosa.

4. What makes you happy?
My family – cliche I know. But without them, I don’t know where I’d be now! Without their support and belief that I can achieve anything, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.

5. Who’s your favourite big blogger and why?
Another blogger question that I struggled to answer! One of my faves is Kayleigh Johnson at Kayleigh Couture. She blogs mainly about fashion and beauty. Her photos are always amazing and she’s worked with some great brands. Again, I follow her on instagram. She’s currently away, having visited Singapore, Bali and now Australia. (Her boyf also proposed to her, as a surprise, in Bali!!) She’s been posting a lot of insta stories of her trip and she’s seriously making me want to go on holiday rn!

6. What’s your biggest fear?
I’m really scared of lifts, it might sound stupid to some people but I can get quite claustrophobic. I hadn’t gotten into a lift for years until last year. After holding my dad’s hand and a few tears, I managed to get into the lift at the Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth and I was so proud that I did. The views from the tower were amazing and it was a step in the right direction in pushing myself out of my comfort zone.

7. What’s the one thing you couldn’t live without?
It’s my phone.. I hate not being in contact with my family and friends. And I just can’t go a day without social media?!

8. What’s your least favourite part about blogging?
I don’t really have a least favourite part about blogging, that might happen when I become more experienced. One thing I don’t like is how non-bloggers think bloggers just receive things for free. This really isn’t the case! Bloggers don’t just receive things for free, they work hard in communicating with brands, creating content, taking photographs and promoting their work. Bloggers who receive blogger collaborations deserve them!

9. What are your top three tips for beginner bloggers?
* Post what you enjoy writing about, not just what other bloggers are writing about.
* Don’t compare yourself to others! Comparing your blog to other blogs that have been operating for years, is like comparing Mc Donald’s to Marco Pierre White’s. Just don’t!
* Experiment with content to find out what you enjoy writing about the most.

10. Where do you see your blog going in the future?
I’d love to share more fashion related post, however I’m still trying to work out how to do this photo wise. I’ll also be finishing university in the next few months and when I’m in a job, I’d just like to be able to continue blogging in general.
My blog is also set to have a makeover in the next couple of weeks!!

My nominated bloggers!
1. Emma Charlotte
2.Sparkle with Kerry
3. The Beauty Spyglass
4. Kate’s Vanity
5. Love Soph
6. Rebecca Faye
7. With Helena
8. Jodie and a Blog
9. Devon Metcalfe
10. Lydia Nicole

Here are your questions:
1. How do you spend your spare time?
2. What’s your greatest achievement?
3. Do you have any hobbies/interests?
4. What’s your favourite food?
5. Twitter or Instagram?
6. If you could travel anywhere tomorrow, where would you go?
7. Why did you start blogging?
8. What’s your favourite season?
9. What’s your next goal?
10. What advice would you offer to a newbie blogger?

I feel like this is a much longer post than my usual posts, but I’ve really enjoyed writing it and sharing a few more things about myself! Chelsea Anne also has some more info and tips about the Liebster Award, definitely worth looking at if you’ve been nominated!

Hope you enjoyed.. X

Teatourist: The Tea Subscription Box*

Calling all tea lovers – it’s the subscription box we’ve been waiting for!

DSCF4996.jpg

I was very happy to be sent this subscription box from the lovely Teatourist team (Joss). Before we get into the post, I just wanted to say the communication I received from them was great! They provided me with all the info I needed and more, and they were very willing to answer any questions I had in a quick and friendly manner – great customer service!

So it’s pretty simple in terms of delivery, the box is delivered to you once every month, like other subscription boxes. The box is also designed to fit through your letterbox, which is so helpful – no annoying missed delivery notes!

DSCF5010.jpg
DSCF5061.jpg
The box includes 6 sachets of high quality, “artisan” loose leaf tea. Each sachet comes from a different company, giving them more exposure and allowing you to try a wider variety of both brands and flavours. The sachets will provide you with not 1 or 2 cups of tea, but 3 or 4! That’s between 18 – 24 cups a month! The more cups, the better!!

I really like the idea of this box, as it allows people to ditch their ordinary tea bags for a while and venture into the world of loose leaf tea. It also allows people to try different teas that they may not have necessarily bought themselves.

DSCF5021.jpg

DSCF5022.jpg
This months box included a good selection of black, green and fruity teas, as listed below:
* Brockley Breakfast
* Blend No45
* Black Tea and Dandelion
* Ben Shan Oolong
* Gunpowder Tea (Green)
* Cheery Sencha (Green)

I’m yet to try all of the teas but the one’s I have tried are fab and I’m very pleased with them! Loose leaf tea is not something that everyone is used to so each sachet comes with instructions and the Teatourist website will help you out too! (Linked at the end of the post).

DSCF5031.jpg
DSCF5051.jpg
In terms of subscription, one box can be ordered at £15 and rolling subscriptions at a slightly lower price of £12.00.  At the moment, their boxes do only ship to the UK, however this could expand as they do! You really are receiving great quality tea for the price.

Thanks Teatourist!!

London Fashion Week Festival 2017

I won tickets to London Fashion Week Festival!
(Warning, this post contains a lotttttt of photos)

I’ve never won anything before, I’m not very lucky when it comes to competitions.. so this was my first win, and it was a good one! I won two tickets to London Fashion Week Festival curtesy of Verve Care, a sponsor to the fashion week, and Laura Byrnes, a lovely fashion and lifestyle blogger who I’ve been following for yearssss. As soon as I received the tickets, I knew exactly what I’d wear. My fave furry black jacket that I rarely get to wear but this was the perfect opportunity!

The London Fashion Week Festival is a follow up event from London Fashion Week. It involves catwalk shows, insider talks, shopping, and in my case, a cocktail or two.. I attended the Sunday event, the last day of the event. It was so much fun! My lucky best friend got my other ticket and we had the cutest girly day out.

17015689_10209916608145652_2993484536202696698_o.jpg
The catwalk shows were amazing! There were so many nice pieces, some weird but wonderful, and slightly daring items. My fave collections had to be florals and cold-shoulder. It was good to get a sneak peak into the latest fashion trends that are set to get even bigger!

A lot of the sellers stalls involved high prices and designer labels, which were slightly out of my price range.. However were a dream to see! There were stalls selling very high-end, well known designers, such as Burberry. To other smaller, independent and unique designers, selling their own creations, who may be set to be the next big thing in fashion!

17022008_10209916606265605_5575731440128192960_n.jpg
While there, we visited every single photo booth possible! More events need to involve as many photo booths as there were here! There were also some great walls for photo backgrounds – can’t miss a good photo opportunity! As well as taking excessive amounts of photos, my best friend created a little video of our day, which I’ll link below.

It’s definitely an event I’d go to again. Even if you don’t buy much, the atmosphere and experience is great! It’s made me really excited for the next Clothes Show Live later on this year! Follow the link for footage of the event –> https://youtu.be/YuSUmt33_ms

Makeup Revolution Eye Foil

Surprise surprise, another post featuring a Makeup Revolution product.. It’s my go to makeup brand atm, especially because of it’s cost effective price range. This is a product that I just had to share – I love it! Want to achieve a pretty, glittery eye look, without the mess of lose glitter? Then keep reading!

DSCF4552.jpg
DSCF4564.jpg
The Makeup Revolution Awesome Metals Eye Foil comes a few different shades but I went for Rose Gold, obviously.. The product comes with the eye foil, a liquid solution and a mixing tray. It really reminds me of the Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eye Shadows. Their kits also include the same three products, however they stock a few more shades, but they come in at £33.50, which is a big price difference to this kit!

The eye foil must be mixed with the solution before you apply it to the eyelid, as it’s too hard to apply without. It needs to be mixed well, if there are any clumps in the foil then these will transfer to the lid and that’s not the look you’re going for.. This is really easy to do though! Once mixed, the foil is simple to apply and looks absolutely fab!!

DSCF4560.jpg
DSCF4570.jpg
I find when applying, it’s better to pat on the eyelid with a shadow brush, rather than apply in strokes. This gives a more even glittery finish, with no streaks. I like that the product isn’t heavy and it isn’t sticky either, which is something I was concerned about. Heres the product applied to the lid, along with a couple of other eye shadows.

DSCF4818.jpg

As much as I do like the product, there are a couple of downsides. When applied, the foil looks more gold than rose gold.. This is disappointing but doesn’t put me off, as I still like the gold look. Also, it would of been useful if the kit came with a small tool for getting the foil from the container to the mixing tray, and for mixing also. But apart from that, the eye foil gets a big thumbs up from me! Especially for £4.00!

Sheet Mask vs Clay Mask featuring Garnier

Garnier’s micellar water was a huge hit, along with their newer moisture bomb range. I thought I’d try out their moisture bomb sheet mask compared with their newer clay mask. Both are from their Skin Active range.

I’ve already tried the moisture bomb face mask a couple of times and really like it! It’s been on offer in Boots for 99p for a while too – bargain. Their new clay masks aren’t much more than that and come in at £1.50 per sachet, which is also good value!

Garnier Skin Active – Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask
So many people have tried the moisture bomb sheet mask and it has a lot of positive reviews. My experiences with it are also positive! The masks claims to rehydrate dry, dull and tired skin. The sheet mask is applied for 15 minutes and during this time, it acts as a “hydration wrap.”

DSCF4724.jpg
The results – as claimed, the mask was moisturising! Lately, I’ve been getting dry patches of skin on my face and these felt smoother after using the mask. My skin also looked refreshed and more hydrated! The mask was cold and wet but it soon warms up and becomes comfortable. The only downside was the excess moisture from the mask when removing it, however this wasn’t too much of a problem and only took a minute to wipe off. The mask really is great for dehydrated and dry skin!

Garnier Skin Active – Volcano Clay Mask
Sheet masks seem to be a big thing in the beauty world at the moment, and people seem to have forgotten about clay masks! Garnier have bought out a new clay face mask range. There are a few masks in this range, that all use different natural ingredients, to provide different solutions. I opted for the volcano mask. When looking for face masks, I usually choose masks that will clear/minimise pores, which the volcano masks claims to do. The mask is made with volcanic rock and clay and it’s also self heating!

DSCF4718.jpg
The results – the results of this mask for only three minutes of application were very good! The mask smelt quite nice and wasn’t too heavy on my skin, unlike some other clay masks. It was really quick and easy to use, which was helped by its three minute application. My pores appeared a bit smaller and I think with regular application it could make a good difference to pore reduction! The mask was comfortable and didn’t feel too tight as it dried. I really liked the self heating of the mask, it felt like it was really working, and was very relaxing!

So sheet mask or clay mask..
Well, I just can’t decide! I like them both and it’s not possible for me to choose a favourite! They’re both comfortable on the skin, simple to use and in this case, do as they claim. However, I think I’ll be using clay masks for a quicker option.

Can anyone recommend good face masks for clearing pores?

New Brand Alert: Akello Lips of London

Todays post is short but very sweet!

I love trying new brands and I recently came across Akello Lips of London randomly, while endlessly looking around on instagram – as you do. After reading more about their lip products and finding a bloggers discount code, I had to try one!

The brand was created by the lovely Tami, who wanted to make an affordable lip balm with natural ingredients – and she has! The lip balms are handmade, using organic resources and they aren’t tested on animals.

dscf4665
The product came in a white box with a light pink bow – cute. It was also delivered in a lovely shiny pink postage bag! The design of the lip balm itself is plain but simple, it’s clear, in showing the logo and scent. The clear plastic allows for you to see how much product is left, which is actually really useful! I ordered the Vanilla flavour. The scent is really sweet, which I like, and smells a bit like cookies to me! The balm left my lips feeling very soft and lasted for quite a while. In comparison to other brands I’ve tried, this lip balm holds its own!

dscf4669
DSCF4655 (1).jpg

The lip balm is £4.99 and shipping is free! Take a look at Akello’s website here. https://www.akellolipsoflondon.com (The lip balms are currently on sale for £3.99!)

I purchased this product using a blogger discount code, however I was interested in purchasing it before I discovered the discount code! I wanted to post about the lip balm, as I really liked it’s background and use of natural ingredients.

Makeup Revolution Matte Lip Kit

I’ve been wanting the Makeup Revolution lip kit for the past couple of weeks but Superdrug have been out of stock online for agesss.. My local Superdrug doesn’t stock them, as it’s quite a small store. So I resorted to finding TAM Beauty’s website, who are the creators of Makeup Revolution. They have every shade in stock, which made me a very happy customer!

DSCF4537.jpg
Anyway, I decided to go for Echelon, a lovely nude pink – of course. The liquid lipstick applies nicely, the size of the brush could be slightly bigger however that’s just me being picky! It’s quite sticky while it dries and does take a while to dry.. but once dry, gives the desired matte finish. It didn’t feel tight on my lips, which some matte liquid lipsticks can. Although with this lipstick, I do have to be careful with how much I apply. The product seems to build and layers quickly, which made my lips look really dry. If I apply only one or two layers though, it’s fine!

DSCF4532.jpg
DSCF4542.jpg
I was surprised when opening the liner for the first time, as I was expecting pencil but it was plastic! For me this gives it a more luxe feel and it’s a nice finishing touch. Again the liner applies nicely and glided on smoothly, which is exactly what you want from a lip liner! I think the quality of the liner for it’s price is really good! Both products are quite long lasting and don’t smudge.

DSCF4545.jpg
I love the shade of both the lipstick and the liner – very me! They do go together nicely, however there are other lip liners that I’d like to pair this lipstick with. Not sure whether thats a positive, in suggesting the product is good for pairing with others, or a negative, in suggesting that I wouldn’t always pair the lipstick with the liner provided – I’ll leave that up to you!

I’ve read other reviews of this product and some people believe it’s better than NYX lip products. I personally don’t agree but that could be because I’m an NYX addict! I prefer the NYX brush applicator and find their matte liquid lipsticks less drying – as I do tend to get dry lips. I will use this liquid lipstick again, however not as much as my NYX ones and I’ll be careful when applying. I’ll definitely be using the lip liner again!

January Feel Unique Samples

Where did January go?! It’s been a great start to 2017 but it went sooo fast! I did want to post this in January, as it’s about my January order of FREE samples from Feel Unique but I totally lost track of time..

I first came across the Feel Unique sample service through reading other bloggers posts – thanks for sharing, or else I would of never known about it! I love trying new products and samples are a great way to. This is my first sample order and it definitely won’t be my last!

dscf4297

The sample service is called pick’n’mix, you select 5 different sample products for free and only pay £3.95 for delivery! I was so surprised by the huge selections of samples they have! They also have a good range of well known brands, as well as newer brands, and the sample sizes aren’t bad either!

Moschino Fresh Couture
I selected this sample mainly for it’s bottle and because I was curious of what it smelt like. It’s quite different to the sweet perfumes I usually go for, it has a very fresh and fruity smell. It’s not a subtle perfume, it’s quite strong and lasts well!

DSCF4303.jpg
Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint
I’ll have to admit, I’m a Mac girl and would/do choose Mac over Nars. However, I saw the product and thought it was a great chance for me to give Nars a go! There’s enough product for a couple of applications and I was really impressed with the quality, it also smelt amazing! I might have to start buying Nars products now, alongside Mac!

Vichy BB Cream
I don’t actually use a BB cream. I tried one once and really wasn’t impressed and because of this, I was put off trying any others. I ordered this as I thought if I didn’t like it, then I hadn’t wasted any money because it was a free product! But I actually like it and it’s changed my opinion of BB creams!

dscf4304
Cowshed Invigorating Body Lotion
The ginger in this lotion is very strong – slightly too strong for me. But the lotion was very smooth, lightweight and moisturising. The sample looked small, however there was quite a lot of product in the sachet..

Elemis Fruit Active Rejuvenating Maks
Last but not least, the Elemis face mask. I currently use elemis products for my skin care routine. They always leave my skin feeling amazing so I was happy when I saw a number of Elemis samples on the website. The sachet is the right size for one mask. It smelt lovely, and as I expected, made my skin feel fabulous! I’m hoping there’ll be other Elemis products for my next pick’n’mix order!

DSCF4301.jpg

I’m thinking of ordering 5 samples every month for a monthly samples post! This also lets me try out different brands and more products. So glad Feel Unique offer this!

Hope you enjoyed.. X

Weekend Away: London, January 2017

If you’ve read my last post, you’ll know that I spent the weekend in London and had the best time! The majority of the weekend consisted of food and alcohol.. but here’s what else I did!

Friday 27th January
We arrived in London, dropped off our luggage at the hotel and made our way straight to Victoria ready for the afternoon tea bus tour. I loved it! The food and staff were all lovely, as well as the views of the most iconic areas of London. It was such a great way to see the city, while eating and drinking. Click here to read more about my time on the tea bus! Afternoon Tea Bus Tour.

DSCF4123.jpg
Friday didn’t consist of much more, we travelled back to the hotel, in Chelsea, to get ready for our evening meal. We booked in at The Real Greek in Covent Garden. The food was so good, it was like tapas but Greek!! We got to try a few different things, as well as sticking to our faves – olives and halloumi skewers. And of course, we had to have a couple glasses of wine with our meal. The meal was then followed by more drinks, in the form of cocktails at Tuttons, Covent Garden! Can’t beat a good Cosmo!

After a couple of helpings at breakfast.. we made our way to the V&A Museum. We were going to go to the Natural History Museum after this, seeing as they are partially next door to each other, however the queue was over half an hour long so we gave it a miss..

Instead, we decided to take a look around Harrods before then taking a look around Zara.. After, we travelled back to Covent Garden to look round and eat more food.. We ate lunch at Davy’s Wine Merchants and couldn’t resist a glass of wine, it would of been rude not to considering where we were! After filling it, we left Covent Garden and headed over to Peggy Porschen – the most instagramable place ever! If you love anything pink and cake, this is the place for you!

Our Saturday evening meal was spent at Rossodomodoro, as you can probably tell it’s an Italian restaurant. There’s a few of them dotted around and it had a lovely atmosphere, as well as great food! After this, we went Made in Chelsea style and had a cocktail in the Bluebird. It was the strongest cocktail I’ve ever had! As well as the most expensive..

Sunday 29th January
Sunday was the day we had to leave, boo. My boyfriend had planned a surprise early lunch, which became less of a surprise, as I saw where we were going on his phone while on the tube, oops. We went to Charlotte’s Place, he purposely chose this as he knew I’d love the fact that the restaurant had the same name as me! This was the best meal of the weekend!! It was actually amazing! We had cured sea trout to start and I had poached brill for main, along with a glass of prosecco – of course alcohol was involved! It was a bit pricey but was a lovely end to the weekend! Before our train home, I managed to fit in a quick trip to Boots to find a large NYX counter, of course.

The weekend went way too fast! But we managed to do most of the things we’d planned.  We had serious weekend blues on Monday! I have so many more pics over on my Instagram and Twitter! (Especially Instagram, which I spammed all weekend).

Hope you enjoyed.. X
