A few weeks ago I bought Garnier’s strength restore balm. It’s so quick and easy to use, and so affordable!
My hair was in desperate need of a deep condition! I was looking for a hair mask that would really help revive my hair and wouldn’t take too much time out of my day in doing so. I feel like I stumbled upon just that!
I was first attracted to the strength restorer balm as it sounded exactly like what I was looking for – a very conditioning mask, that would help my dry hair. I also liked the sound of strength, in conditioning and restoring, the balm aids in strengthening hair, which is also helpful as I’m in the process of growing mine. The packaging states it “instantly rescues damaged hair.” My hair wasn’t badly damaged but was dry, so I was looking for something to really nourish it.
The next thing that attracted me to the balm was it’s scent – honey, royal jelly and propolis. As soon as I read honey and royal jelly, I knew it would smell amazing, and it really does! The smell lasts in your hair for a while after too, which is really nice! I wasn’t too sure what propolis was but with some help from Google, I soon found out that it was another ingredient produced by bees. I really like how natural the ingredients are and how beneficial they are for your hair.
Lastly, the price of the balm also caught my eye. As a student, I don’t often fork out large amounts of money on products. The balm was £3 on offer, down from it’s original price of £4.99. What a bargain! I would have still bought the balm at full price, but the offer was just a nice bonus. For this, you get 300ml of the balm, which is proving to last me a while!
The consistency of the balm is quite thick and silky and smooth – it’s also really easy to apply. It’s applied to damp hair, after shampoo. I apply mine while I’m still in the shower, after squeezing out excess water. The packaging is also easy to open with wet hands which is helpful! While keeping my hair out of the water, I wait about 3/4 minutes before washing off. My hair is quite fine so I feel I don’t need the full 5 minutes. I was so surprised to read it didn’t need to be left on for longer but that goes to show just how high quality the ingredients are to have effect in a short amount of time! The packaging states to apply the balm through the length of the hair, which I follow, just incase it was to make my roots more oily. I’ve used the balm around 10 times now and I still have so much left – it’s a product that will last a while!
The balm leaves my hair feeling super soft and silky every time I use it! I usually use it once or twice a week, or sometimes three times a week, depending on the amount of heat I’ve used on my hair. After use, my hair’s easier to brush and it doesn’t get as knotty. The balm has really helped to nourish my hair after it went through a rough patch of looking dry and feeling lifeless.
I would 100% recommend the strength restorer to anyone who’s looking for a quick fix! It smells amazing, it leaves my hair feeling soft and silky, the product will last a while, it’s so simple and quick to use, and it does the job. It’s also such an affordable product! It’s safe to say it’s become a regular product in my hair care routine and it isn’t going anywhere else anytime soon! The only thing I’m unsure about is the strength part of the balm but that’s because I’m unsure of how to gauge the strength of my hair to see whether it’s improved or not.
Hope you enjoyed.. X
